Dave has been a co-ordinator on the Isle of Wight since 2001. His elder son learned to swim via the programme and his daughter was an Achiever of the Year. Presently, his younger son is taking Learn to Swim lessons.

Dave, a water supply process operator, is no stranger to water. He used to be a sailing, surfing, windsurfing and canoeing instructor and was a beach lifeguard in Southampton and the Isle of Wight.
