Southern Water is investing £300 million in an environmental improvement scheme to bring cleaner seas to Sussex. The scheme, which includes a new wastewater treatment works and 11 kilometres of new sewer tunnel, will be able to treat the 95 million litres of wastewater generated each day by the residents of Peacehaven, Telscombe, Saltdean, Rottingdean and Woodingdean, along with Brighton and Hove.
