School Visit
More than 100 pupils from Cowes Primary School on the Isle of Wight joined a Southern Water boat trip to visit the pipe-laying barge first-hand.
During the trip, pupils asked the Southern Water team about the project and water supply and impressed everyone with how much they knew.
The Solent Cat boat sailed into the Solent and circled the Pontra Maris barge which will lay the new water supply pipes under the seabed.
The trip was a fun and interesting way to learn about the importance of water supply to the Isle of Wight and the importance of using water wisely.
One brave youngster took the helm to steer the boat safely back into harbour.
At the end of the visit, everyone was given a drinking water bottle to help them remember to drink lots of water to stay healthy and hydrated.
