A £7 million investment will benefit the environment in a Hampshire village.

We are upgrading Pennington Wastewater Treatment Works to ensure the treated flows recycled into the environment are cleaner than ever.

The upgrade will include treatment tanks and sampling equipment, which will continually test the quality of the wastewater leaving the site.

The work will ensure the treatment works continues to meet new Environment Agency standards. Construction is started in February and will finish in the spring of 2013.

The scheme is being carried out by contactor 4Delivery.
