Community grants and sponsorship

Cub scouts dig a new pond with equipment donated by Southern WaterEvery year Southern Water receives hundreds of requests for donations and sponsorship from a wide range of organisations, community groups and individuals across Kent, Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

As much as we would like to, we are unable to offer financial support to everyone who makes a request.

The company has a policy of awarding grants to projects which mirror the aims of the business, with an emphasis on the environment, education and community.

Education

Southern Water's sponsored Trees for Shade campaignSouthern Water supports initiatives which encourage and foster an understanding of the water cycle, the abstraction, treatment and distribution of water and how wastewater is recycled back into the environment.

We are also keen to promote water efficiency, water for health and water safety messages in homes and schools.

Environment

The company provides grants to schools and community groups which are looking to add value to their environment through projects or schemes, such as creating water efficient gardens, sensory gardens, wildlife habitats or ponds.
